Playground

Playground is de vruchtbare bodem waar mijn artistieke praktijk samenkomt met educatie, samenwerking en collectieve verbeelding. Het is geen vaste plek, maar een bewegend veld — een tuin van ontmoetingen, waar spel onderzoek wordt en onderzoek ritueel.

Hier onderzoek ik samen met anderen: in workshops en artistieke processen, in voorstellingen voor baby’s en wandelingen door het landschap, in handwerkkringen en maakbijeenkomsten, in buurtprojecten met Botanic Circus, in scenografisch onderzoek met Profound Play, en in de Residue-werkgroep over performancedocumentatie.

Ik zie deze ruimtes als speelvelden van aandacht en verbeelding: tijdelijke gemeenschappen waar we verhalen composteren, tradities enten en de lijnen tussen kunst en dagelijks leven opnieuw tekenen. Soms luisteren we naar de stilte van de bodem, soms fluisteren we in pijpen, soms weven we draden samen in een kring. Altijd zoeken we naar verbinding — met elkaar, met ons lichaam, met wat vergeten is en met wat nog moet komen.

Playground (English)

Playground is the fertile ground where my artistic practice meets education, collaboration and collective imagination. It is not a fixed place, but a moving field — a garden of encounters, where play becomes research and research becomes ritual.

Here I explore with others: in workshops and artistic processes, in performances for babies and walks through the landscape, in crafting circles and handwork gatherings, in neighborhood projects with Botanic Circus, in the scenographic explorations with Profound Play, and in the Residue working group on performance documentation.

I see these spaces as playgrounds of attention and imagination: temporary communities where we compost stories, graft traditions, and re-draw the lines between art and daily life. Sometimes we listen to the silence of soil, sometimes we whisper into pipes, sometimes we stitch threads together in a circle. Always we search for connection — with each other, with our bodies, with what has been forgotten and what is yet to come.
